Superleggera CLUTCH LIFE

Discussion in 'V10 Lamborghinis' started by Ennio Manghi, Feb 18, 2021.

  1. Hi guys
I'm new member, writing from Italy.
    I'm recently bought a 570-4 Superleggera.
I know that Gallardo has "cutch consumption problems".
    - Do you know which is the better use of the car (which drive mode) to reduce at minimum the clutch Egear consumption?
    - How many kilometres did you do before repair it ?
    Thanks for your reply
    Ennio

  3. The pre LP cars (2008 and older) were harder on clutches. I had an ‘08 SL and put almost 20,000 miles (30,000 km) and had 60% left.
I have seen an LP car with over 60,000 miles (100,000km) on the original clutch.

    Tricks to prolonging life:

Shift the car manually instead of leaving it in auto mode. It’s easier on the clutch.

Use sport or Corsa mode. The shifts are quicker and there is less wear on the clutch.

Backing up a hill can be harder on the clutch. Often people who are reversing allow the clutch to engage snd disengage multiple times when backing up.

    Hope this helps.
