Murciélago Murcielago, The End of an Era

Discussion in 'Lamborghini Supercars' started by SupercarGuru, Nov 25, 2019.

  1. Guys, a quick question: What is the difference between the 02-03 cars and the 04-05 cars? I know about the brakes, but are there any other differences? Like for an example some sensor upgrades, stuff like that?

  3. '02/'03
    Magneti Marelli ignition coils
Supposedly makes more power than '04-06 cars
    All manual
'02 came with Km gauge cluster/ early cluster has different digital trip readout

    VW ignition coils
Carbon trim panels over ignition coils
    e-gear option (updated pedals)
    Flip key (VW)

Brakes: larger steel brakes and optional CCB
Different suspension - no longer Koni adjustable
Interiors started to come with more options (carbon trim, q-stitch, alcantara, etc.)
    Different wheels
    Valved exhaust tips (seems redundant)
Manual cars received the new pedal design

  5. I went to the launch at the factory back in the day, so can post some pictures if anybody is interested. Best firework display I've ever seen.

  8. One of the lowest mileage LP640 6-Speed Manual in North America, LA02698. 1 of less than 30+/- manual transmission LP640 cars produced for North America between 2007-2009. We sold this incredible example to a prominent West Coast collector. This car now shares a garage with some of the worlds most important Enzo-Era Ferrari's and more!

  10. Launched at the 2003 Detroit Auto Show, the Lamborghini Murcielago Barchetta Concept remained virtually untouched for the production version. A keen eye will notice the minor differences including the fuel filler, rear bonnet, etc.

  11. Wow! Arancio on full Arancio interior, 6-Speed Manual. That was a car my friend!

  12. Which area of Canada are you from ?

There is one 40th actually at John Scotti Lamborghini Montréal…. the N° 50//50
  13. A recent acquisition of ours, the 2003 IAA Frankfurt Auto Show Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT. This was the factory press car and later remained in the factory museum for many years. We were very fortunate enough to have the opportunity to purchase it! Essentially a new car that was never raced or run, in its unique exposed Carbon Fiber body.

As a modern Lamborghini Show Car and Prototype this may be one of the most exciting cars we have ever owned!

  14. This is great! Is it full functional or just a rolling chassis just for show?
