Dear Joe, I would like to repaint my early Islero (#6027) in its original color Bronzo Scuro. PPG has provided me with a paint formulation, but I am not sure if that's the correct one. Are you willing to share your "Bronzo Scuro paint knowledge"? Kind regards, Jorrit

Can someone tell me: How is the positive battery cable run? Up over wheel arch, down into sill and out the? Or?

I want a Jarama and I am willing to wait.

Prices will be better in a year or two.

    Not picking on the Jarama.

Everyone is going to have to take a bite from the same sandwich.

This is #10024 / ELB420J today; it has been a bit of a long slog but is now back on the road and I am currently correcting the inevitable small problems that arise in the first journeys following the completion of such projects.

Obviously it is still missing the bumpers; these (along with some other fairly major components) were missing from the car when I bought it as a rather sad project around two and a half years ago. Having long since given up on finding original bumpers, I am playing with methods that will allow me to fabricate them.

You did a great job to ressurect it… sometimes at Fiera di Padova in Italy, it is possible to find original bumpers

    Hi Olivier,

That certainly look like a fun place to visit regardless of finding bumpers; I'll look at doing that this year (assuming it goes ahead).

    Kind regards

    Andy

The car looks so much better without the bumpers.

I have to agree Peter, I will probably not bother for the front, but my concern with the back is someone with less "observation skills" going into the back of me - even at low speed the body would be badly damaged without a bumper. I prototyped some quarter bumpers, but I could not convince myself they looked "right" enough to go further.

    Kind regards Andy

Those wheel look dirty with brake dust BUT it makes the wheels look fantastic! Really shows the sculpture.
