Apologies - I mistakenly left out "Quattrovalvole Downdraft without side slats" as a poll option. I've written to moderator to add it.

Lp 400 pure and simple. That beeing said,i have a secret admiration for the anniversary fi version, it is the total opposite, but represents the final and brutal looks in wich the Countach ended its long run. Poss not to keen on its slotted straked body parts, but the engine lid works well,in a bad ass kinda way.

I apologize in advance for waxing lyrical, but I can't help myself.

After all these years and all the different Countachs, I prefer the Countach hood that sports the Power Dome.

It strikes fear in the hearts of the faithful everywhere, people know what it means.

When I walk past mine on the way to my workout, after all these years it still it just takes my breath away, it makes me turn back and look, and then look again on the way back.

It's not just a cosmetic design application, it means much more.

The knowledge of what the Power Dome accommodates is enough, that incomparable and unbeatable 6 Weber (44 DCNF) vertical twin-barrel Carburatori version of the now-legendary Motore Tipo L 507 V4, affectionately known these days to enthusiasts the world over simply as the Downdraft.

As I've said before, those who love the Countach Downdraft possibly do so because they view it as Ingegnere Guilio Alfieri's stroke-of-genius return to the original efficient & potent Lamborghini V12 Downdraft concept, as in the Miura, except with 4-valves and much more power.

Or they love it simply because it is the most powerful production variant of the Countach ever built by the Lamborghini factory, period.

Then there is the carbon-kevlar composite material engine cover itself, menacing in it's domed design, moulded in keeping with all the car's trapezoidal shapes, practical in it's adornment of horizontal slats, all beautifully-integrated. The cover's design speaks directly to it's purpose, form following function in the purest way.

The crown of the ultimate Countach, IMHO there are few more purposeful Supercar features like it.

    I think I love it
