    I get asked questions which I can't answer so thought I would utilise the collective knowledge on this thread.

    In essence, how many RHD Lp400 are still around in original form ( look like original LP400)

    But to answer this I would like some educated guesses on:

    1 If 157 were built how many have been written off/ presumed no longer around?
    How many of these were RHD if there were 22 built.

    2 Out of the ones left how many were converted to LP400S spec and how many have reverted back? RHD?

    3 Of the 157 how many were upgraded by the factory so that they no longer looked like an LP400 ( Wolfe cars for instance )?

    In other words how many left the factory, finally, with the well known LP400 shape.

    It's nearly impossible to be accurate on this but years ago we thought a total of around 25 cars were converted to S guise by both the factory & privateers, I'd guess @ 5 of those cars are back to LP400, so there's one perspective.

    Please, all of you, repeat out loud:
    150 LP400
    ONE HUNDRED FIFTY COUNTACH LP400

    Forget about 157
    ONE HUNDRED FIFTY SEVEN IS WRONG
    INCORRECT, CONFUSION, ASSUMPTIONS

    ONLY 150
    Remember, one hundred fifty Countach LP400.

    Last LP400 is 1120300
    112 0 300
    112 = Countach
    0 = first production (LP400)
    300 ÷ 2 = 150th car ordered

    First LP400S was supposed to be 1120302 but the factory changed the VIN system as follows: 1121002
    112 1 002
    112 = Countach
    1 = second production (LP400 S)
    002 ÷2 = 1st production car

    period

    Thanks :)

    Thank you for confirming this, my client & family friend owns 1120300, the good doctor will happily accept this view, we are always learning, meanwhile I carefully inspected 1120300 in it's stunning Supercar collection (Miura, GT40, Daytona, Boxer, F50, Maserati MC12, Carrera GT, 918, and more besides) just 10 months ago and it is in beautiful original Nero / Bianco condition, it fires up at the first twist of the key.

    Ok, I’ll take a stab at this. Of the 22 RHD LP400, I think 21 still exist. I have been told in confidence of one that was written off years ago, but that is the only one I know of. I reckon about 7 were converted to S spec at some point, of which I have heard that at least 4 have gone back to LP400, but definitively proving this is tricky, as it is hard to time stamp a photo, so hard to know for sure.

    Great picture, and it shows clearly that the white IXO Pace Car Model car has the wrong color.

    BTW #1121314 (with a damage at the right rear end) and the yellow #CLA12477

    CLA12477 has lead a charmed life, existing as it does in the same collection for so many years.

    Meanwhile it's always fun to uncover exclusive images from the period.

    Not something I could do either. Just didn’t know if this was a photoshop or real. Oth with stock bravos on the front it might be pretty cool.
