IIRC it was the first 300 or so cars. I don't know if it was a bad or good thing, ie specific issues, other than the usual advice to stay away...

Production numbers might have more importance than resale value, in regards to the feeling special.
That is a great carb. A friend was running 2 of them on a modded VW bug. IIRC 6.8 on the 1/8th. Boy oh boy the Chevy guys were pissed at that one.
